Excavation Tags enable you to increase workplace safety and compliance with EU Directive 92/57/EEC by communicating vital information at excavation entrances where it can be seen by all workers.

Increase compliance and safety

Complying with EU Directive 92/57/EEC on minimum safety requirements for excavations becomes easier with the Excavation Tags. On the tags' removable inserts, the following information can be added:

  • date of inspection
  • inspector's signature
  • location of the excavation
  • description of the excavation
  • which utility services are present
    (plumbing, water main, electricity cables, ...)
  • which safety equipment to wear in the excavation
  • specific health and safety actions to take
  • who to contact if work cannot be carried out safely
  • name of the inspector
  • date of excavation

When the insert is removed, a clear 'do not enter' message becomes visible on the empty holder, attached to the excavation.

Outdoor durability

Designed for outdoor use, both the holders and removable inserts are made out of durable, UV-resistant and weatherproof materials. Information added on the inserts should remain legible if written with a permanent marker. The holders can be tightly fastened to a wide range of equipment with cable ties, rivets, screws or adhesives.

A wide range of equipment tags

Visual tagging solutions each consist out of a durable holder and removable inserts. They facilitate compliance by keeping inspection records on the equipment itself. Inspectors can place the date of their inspection and their signature on the tag's removable insert when the equipment is deemed fit for use. If not, the insert can be removed, leaving a clear 'do not use'-message. Workers can immediately see on the equipment itself when it was last inspected and if it was deemed fit for use, along with additional vital safety information to avoid workplace accidents. A complete range of visual tagging solutions is available to increase safety and compliance for a wide range of equipment.
